Prepared to race in red tonight is, Boher Paddy, and ready for the black and white jacket is, Airlie Impact.
The four-year-old, Boher Paddy, makes one of the most desirable betting entries for the contest tonight. He has been racing since the past three seasons and has accumulated quite a lot of experience up his sleeve.
Two out of last five starts of the Charlie Lister trained have been successes. Balintore Brave?s son was dominant in the Norman Oliver Memorial Trophy on 17th October, 2012 at Newcastle over 480 metres.
The favourite entry raced from the very first trap, he soon settled into the leading role, and made it through the wire in 28.57 seconds. Missing the chance to take back home the prize money by seven lengths was, Grayslands Bubba.
The next time Boher Paddy landed the race was over 500 metres on 4th November, 2012. The blue trap took 29.10 seconds to settle the race. Even though the favourite entry got crowded in the quarter, he led on to maintain his charge in Sheffield Stadium Standard ? Dup.
The two-year-old, Westmead Bertie, is another one to look out for in the field. The Nick Savva trained just missed the chance of brining in a hat-trick when he was out during the most recent attempt.
The third trap won the Grade OR Gold Cup 1st Semi Final on 18th October, 2012. Being quick with maintaining the distance and then reeling in for the wire from the second location got him on the other end of the wire in 33.75 seconds.
On 25th October, he took keen charge of the Gold Cup Final at Henlow over 550 metres. Setting into an early high gear and leading just near the line got the race credited against his name in 33.66 seconds.
He failed in what had to get him the hat-trick?s honour.
