Let's face it: everyone loves games. And everyone loves food.? Hideo Kojima, the legendary developer and creator the immortal Metal Gear Solid franchise that gave birth to the tactical stealth genre of gaming, has created a veritable masterpiece of culinary artwork inside of one of Sony's new Metal Gear Solid 25th Anniversary bentos (Japanese meal box, or lunchbox, if you will).

We reported recently on Sony's new PS3 lunchbox/bento dedicated to the success of the Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid series; however Kojima--who is infamous for making great games and fine cuisine--has taken the art of food preparation to a new level with his new culinary creation.

The bento has the likenesses of three iconic Metal Gear Solid characters: Solid Snake in both his final and younger years as well as a cybernetically enhanced Raiden from the upcoming Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

For the curious (and hungry) gamers out there who are wondering what this masterpiece consists of, Kojima reveals that the faces themselves were made from mashed potatoes, the hair and beard were green onions, and the eyes are made of quail eggs. The eye-color consists of tapioca, as well.

Kojima's culinary masterpiece commemorates the 25th anniversary of Metal Gear Solid, which Konami and Kojima Productions are celebrating with the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 25th Anniversary edition that brings Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots to the PlayStation 3.

One has to wonder just how long it took Kojima to create such a masterpiece, and it'd be a shame to ruin such artwork once meal time comes around.

One thing's for sure, though: Kojima's quite the skilled food crafter! Be sure to tell us what you think of this delightful creation in the comments below!
